Testimonials
‘As an older student, I was quite wary to jump into playing the electric guitar. After looking for a close by guitar school I found GGS and exchange some e-mails with Matt, who reassured me that age wouldn’t be an issue and he paired me with Ben. After my first lesson with Ben, I learned we shared a passion for classic Metal and liked some of the same bands, this put me much at ease because we “speak the same musical language”. Every time I meet Ben it’s a good time. We go through the homework, lesson and exercise where he’s patient and constructive in his feedback, always encouraging me. I can’t recommend GGS and Ben enough.’

‘I would recommend Ben as a guitar tutor. Not only has he helped my guitar playing improve considerably but he has also helped me to develop my overall musicianship and knowledge of music on the guitar.
I have found him to be very patient and a great encourager. He has organised lessons appropriate to my ability at the time, but challenging enough to prevent stagnation. He has also provided many exercises for me to develop or correct a particular aspect of my playing. After 3 years, I am still enjoying my lessons with Ben and find he is still able to push me to develop further.’

We're very grateful for the fantastic support you've given Scarlett over the last couple of years - in particular helping her with her composition that earned her ACM place.

‘Ben’s a great guitar teacher. I’ve been learning with him for 18 months and I’m really pleased with the progress I’ve made. Lessons are fun and engaging but with the right amount of challenge and homework too. Ben keeps his approach flexible and responds positively to student suggestions for things they would like to learn. Through Ben’s tuition I’ve made big improvements in technique in picking and strumming and also to understand more of the theory too. I’m very happy to recommend Ben to anyone thinking about guitar lessons either as a complete novice or as a more advance player looking to further improve.’

‘Since I started at Goodall Guitar School, I have seen Ben week in, week out and always felt that I achieved something substantial in every lesson. Also, Ben always makes the effort to ask me how my week has been and how I am, which I appreciate. Overall, I would recommend Ben to teach anyone of any level because he is a fantastic teacher and person’

‘Ben is a friendly, patient and knowledgeable teacher who has developed my son’s understanding of the workings of the acoustic guitar and how to play his first chords, all whilst learning online due to the pandemic. I look forward to watching my son’s confidence and ability grow working with him in the future.’
